Žimantas Pacevičius

By Decree of the President of the Republic of Lithuania dated 17 October 2007, Mr. Pacevičius was appointed Director of the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania.

Born 5 November 1963 in Vilnius.

Education

1996: Lithuanian Police Academy, Master of Law.

1984: Saratov Industrial Pedagogical Technical College.

Work experience

From 2007 to date: Director of the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania.

2000-2007: 1st Deputy Director of the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania.

1999-2000: Deputy Head of the Special Investigation Service under the Ministry of the Interior.

1997-1999: Head of a unit of the Operational Activities Division of the Special Investigation Service under the Ministry of the Interior, Deputy Head of the Operational Activities Division.

1995-1997: Commissioner inspector of Violence Crime Investigation Division, Criminal Police Organised Crime Investigation Service of the Police Department, commissioner.

1993-1995: Senior Inspector of Division I, Department of Investigation of Specific Crimes, Criminal Police Organised Crime Investigation Service of the Police Department.

1991-1993: Employee of the Lithuanian Police Academy.

1990-1991: Employee of Vilnius Criminal Police.

1984-1990: Employee of Vilnius Secondary Vocational Technical School No. 30.

Awards

For excellence in service Mr. Pacevičius was awarded a Commemorative Decoration for Merits to the Homeland, personal gifts of appreciation and a Second-Class Badge of Honour of the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania.

By Decree of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, in 2003 Mr. Pacevičius was awarded a Commemorative Decoration for personal contribution in building the transatlantic relationships and on the occasion of invitation of Lithuania for NATO membership.
