Corruption and fraud prevention in healthcare sector was discussed
The president of European Healthcare Fraud and Corruption Network (EHFCN) Paul Vincke visited Special Investigation Service (STT) on 7th of September for the first time. During the meeting with STT director Žimantas Pacevičius the relevant matters of corruption and fraud prevention in European healthcare systems were discussed. It was also debated on the issues of Lithuanian healthcare system and the activity of corruption prevention in this field.
Corruption risk analysis performed in the State Medicines Control Agency
Officers of Special Investigation Service (STT) performed a corruption risk analysis in the State Medicines Control Agency under the Ministry of Health.
STT presented the conclusion on observation of National Anticorruption Program
After performing the observation of National Anticorruption Program, confirmed by the Government and being implemented by 157 state and municipality institutions during 2009–2010, in August Special Investigation Service (STT) determined that 74 percent of measures are implemented completely or partially during a year and a half.
STT director attended the opening event of International Anti-Corruption Academy
The director of Special Investigation Service Žimantas Pacevičius was going to Laxenburg (the Republic of Austria) to attend the opening event of International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) on 2-3rd of September.
