Prerequisites for corruption occurrence in the MES’s project selection
Officials of the Special Investigation Service (STT) have examined the legal framework of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) for planning and coordinating the European Union structural support for 2007-2013. Procedures for project selection defining and planning, prior calling and drawing up of a list of projects have been analysed.
STT visited by Tajik delegation
On November 15-18, Tajik delegation will visit Lithuanian and Latvian public and law-enforcement institutions, become acquainted with the system and experience of anti-corruption institutions.
Lithuania scores best in Corruption Perceptions Index ever
Lithuania for the first time scored five points out of ten in the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) and came in the 46th place among 178 countries.
Corruption and fraud prevention in healthcare sector was discussed
The president of European Healthcare Fraud and Corruption Network (EHFCN) Paul Vincke visited Special Investigation Service (STT) on 7th of September for the first time. During the meeting with STT director Žimantas Pacevičius the relevant matters of corruption and fraud prevention in European healthcare systems were discussed. It was also debated on the issues of Lithuanian healthcare system and the activity of corruption prevention in this field.
