On November 15-18, Tajik delegation will visit Lithuanian and Latvian public and law-enforcement institutions, become acquainted with the system and experience of anti-corruption institutions.
Today, November 15, the delegation will meet with officials of the Special Investigation Service (STT), and will visit the National Security Group of the Chancellery of the Office of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Office of the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. And tomorrow – the Chief Official Ethics Commission, Commission on Anti-Corruption of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.
Tajik delegation consists of: Dzhumakhov Davlatov, Tajik President's Parliamentary Envoy for Legal Matters (head of the group), Dustmurod Murodov, Head of Legal Division of Executive Office of the President, Makhmadali Vatanov, Chairman of the Commission on the Rule of Law and Human Rights of the Tajik Parliament, Fatokh Saidov, Director of the Agency on State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption, Muzaffar Akhmedov, Head of the Second Department of the Agency on State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption.
On Wednesday, November 17, the guest will visit Latvian Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) and the Defence, Internal Affairs and Corruption Prevention Committee of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia.
The visit is organized and funded by OSCE (the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) office in Tajikistan.
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe evaluates Lithuanian and Latvian anti-corruption practice as being a good example of combatting corruption in Eastern Europe.
