STT officials share their experience with the Moldovan colleagues

10/19/2016

On 18-20 October, four officials from the National Anticorruption Centre (NAC) of the Republic of Moldova have been participating in the seminar arranged by the Special Investigation Service (STT).

The Moldovan delegation has been familiarised with the Lithuanian experience in corruption prevention, analytical activities and anticorruption public awareness raising and information. The guests will be also made aware of how the Prosecutor General’s Office and Financial Crime Investigation Service operate.

This seminar has been organised under Project No. K2016-VB-MD-209 “Further Support to the National Anticorruption Centre of the Republic of Moldova in its Efforts to Strengthen Corruption Prevention” funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.

In June 2016, the opening event under this project took place in the National Anticorruption Centre of Moldova where four STT officials discussed with their Moldovan colleagues the best practices of corruption prevention, analytical activities and anticorruption awareness raising.

Development cooperation between Lithuania and Moldova has been maintained in accordance with the Programme of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, Guidelines for the Policy on the Eastern Partners of the EU, the Development Cooperation Policy Guidelines of Lithuania for 2014-2016 and Joint Declaration on the cooperation of the Republic of Moldova and Republic of Lithuania in the field of European integration signed by the Prime Ministers of Moldova and Lithuania.

STT has already arranged 13 international visits this year. It has been maintaining close international relations with the counterpart anticorruption institutions in Armenia, Georgia, Latvia, Moldova and Poland.
