STT shares experience with Moldavian colleagues

Special Investigation Service (STT) with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are implementing the project “Further Support to the National Anti-Corruption Centre of the Republic of Moldova in its efforts to strengthen Corruption Prevention”. The aim of the project is to strengthen the institutional and administrative anti-corruption capacities of Moldova in implementing the EU and Moldovan Association Agreement.

On 17–19 of October 2017, a study visit for 4 officers from National Anticorruption Centre of the Republic of Moldova (NAC) took place in Vilnius (Lithuania). Officers shared their experience in the area of corruption prevention, analytical work and anti-corruption education, investigation techniques in and criminal prosecution of high level corruption cases. Also officers were introduced with best practices and methods used by the Financial Crime Investigation Service in carrying out financial investigations, the techniques of investigating fraud committed in the management of the European Union funding and cooperation with the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF).

In June 2017, 4 STT officials visited the National Anti-Corruption Centre of Moldova and shared their experience in the area of corruption prevention, analytical work.

Development co-operation between Lithuania and Moldova is carried out within the framework of the Government Programme of the Republic of Lithuania, European Union Eastern Partnership Policy Guidelines, Development Co-operation Policy Guidelines of the Republic of Lithuania 2014–2016 and the 2010 Declaration of Prime Ministers of the Republic of Lithuania and Republic of Moldova in the area of European integration.
