Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (the OECD) Working Group on Bribery in International Business Transactions (Working Group) started Lithuania’s Phase 2 evaluation in Vilnius, in July 2017.
Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (the OECD) Working Group on Bribery positively evaluated Lithuania's implementation, legal reforms and application of the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions. In Phase 1 report on implementing the OECD Anti-bribery convention in Lithuania, the Working Group recognises recent legislative reforms and considers that Lithuania’s legislation largely conforms to the standards of the Convention.
The consortium between Lithuania (Lead MS), Romania (Junior partner) and Finland (Junior partner) will implement the European Union Twinning Project “Support to the strengthening of the operational capacities of the Law Enforcement Agencies of the Republic of Moldova in the field of investigation of criminal acts of corruption”.
The discussion "Why it is necessary to generate an environment of integrity in business?" – probably the most important awareness – raising event out of five planned this year – was held in Vilnius on 23 of May 2017.
