General public education campaign launched by the STT recognised to be the best campaign in the Baltic States

The public education project of the Special Investigation Service (STT) titled “Enhancement of Anti-corruption Efforts” developed by the Lithuanian public relations company “Integrity PR” (financed from the EU funds) was announced to be the best campaign of the year in the Baltic States. The above company was given such award at the “European Excellence Awards” ceremony.

On December 9  Dalia Grybauskaitė, President of the Republic of Lithuania, visited the Special Investigation Servive (STT) for the first time.


International Anti-corruption Day - public is urged to contribute to combating corruption

On the occasion of the International Anti-corruption Day to be marked on Wednesday, December 9, Her Excellency President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė will pay a visit to the Special Investigation Service (STT) and other events devoted to this special day will be taking place.

Remuneration of the persons having reported corruption-related offences is discussed

When confirming the Special Investigation Service Performance Report for 2008 on July 16, 2009 the Seimas (Parliament) of the Republic of Lithuania gave an assignment to the Government of Lithuania to consider a possibility of amending the Government‘s Decision „On Remuneration for Valuable Information about the Crimes, which Involve Property Damage to the State”, adopted on the 21st January, 2003, by introducing a possibility to award onetime payment to the persons having provided valuable information about the offences of a corruptive nature.
