The Special Investigation Service (STT), as a member of the EPAC/EACN – network of European anti-corruption authorities and police oversight bodies, on October 18th, 2 PM (CEST) organises an international webinar on the topic of "Strengthening Integrity in Law Enforcement Agencies". The purpose of the event is to share the approaches, experiences and ways that law enforcement agencies can strengthen their resilience against corruption and other related crimes. During the webinar, representatives of law enforcement agencies from Ireland, France, Ukraine and Lithuania will share their insights.
"Strengthening the transparency of any organisation and creating corruption resistant environment can pose a wide variety of challenges. Law enforcement agencies, given their functions and importance within the state, are no exception. One of the ways to solve the emerging challenges is cooperation and sharing the best practices. Such international webinars allow not only to bring together specialists with different experiences, but also to discuss the latest measures used in various countries to strengthen anti-corruption provisions in in their state, said Mr Linas Pernavas, Director of the STT.
Ms Lucile Rolland, Vice President of EPAC/EACN and Mr Hugh Hume, Deputy Vice President of EPAC/EACN will share their insights on enhancing integrity. Moreover, Mr Žydrūnas Butkevičius, Head of the Immunity Board of the Lithuanian Police Department, and Mr Iaroslav Liubchenko, Deputy Head of National Agency on Corruption Prevention of Ukraine, will also make their expert presentations.
The webinar will take place on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023, 2 PM (CEST, 14:00, Paris/Vienna/Warsaw time) via “Zoom” platform. The planned duration is up to 2 hours. You can register for the seminar here. The seminar will be held in English.
